[Name]: Cherri Cola
[Canon]: Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys (Comics)
[Age]: 31 (born in 2000 - Age is a guess. The Killjoys died in 2019, the story takes place in 2031)
[Gender]: Male
[Canon Point]: Issue Five, Just after being shot in the back and falling to the ground. Dead.

[History]:
Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys is a futuristic dystopian world brought to us by My Chemical Romance and their 2010 album Danger Days. There were music videos about the years of the four most famous Killjoys, but I will be going with the Comic history here.

Cherri Cola was a young killjoy around the age of 19, part of a group of Killjoys, though he hung around more with Doctor Death Defying (From here on out known as Dr D) helping him DJ on the airwaves in order to give warnings, news and encouragement. Still, he was part of the crew and helped them in their cause. Life as a Killjoy wasn't free of danger though. Their goal in life seemed to be to make a mess of anything and everything BLI, which in turn sent Draculoids and Scarecrows after them (local enforcement of BLI).

BLI (or BL/ind - Better Living Industries) was a corporation that believes they have the solution to humankind. After the fires of 2012 they became top in line of cities, helping take care of people by ridding them of unneeded emotions. White is their color. A blank canvas. They reach out to take what they can and clean it of impurities, make a person fall in line and do as told. The Killjoys each fight against that, trying to bring life and color to those in the Zones. To those who had to run away and hide from BLI.

It was a dangerous living but a worthy cause. They were making a difference, or... hoped to make a difference, someday. When one day Party Poison picked up The Girl (she's known by no other name) who was being hailed as the savior of the Zones, things started to change. It’s unknown why or where it started, but people were calling her the one to save them from this existence. Believing in the child, perhaps not because of prophecy but for the simple fact that her existence brought hope to others, The Killjoys protected her as best they could. They protected her right to their deaths.

In 2019 the Girl was kidnapped by Krose, BLI’s elite Scarecrow who brought her back to headquarters in Bat City to hold her captive. During these events The Killjoys (Party Poison, Fun Ghoul, Jet Star and Kobra Kid) all lost their lives trying to protect the girl and to get her back. They managed to save The Girl, getting her outside. A van pulled up with Dr Death Defying and Cherri Cola (as well as a couple of others) scooped the girl up and up thrust the throttle, hitting the red line and taking off.

When they stopped out in Zone six, The Girl took off running and Cola was unable to catch up to her, losing her for... years. twelve years actually. Our story starts in the year 2031, twelve years after the Killjoys died. Cola still hangs around Dr Death defying and once in a while will talk on air, but his heart's not in it anymore. He should have been with the others, his best friends. He should have gone with them to save the girl. He was the best shot out of all of them and he refused to go with them, not because he didn't believe in the girl or the cause, but because he couldn't bring himself to fight. He's regretted his choice for all these years now.

The Girl showed up again, a captive of Val Velocity and the Ultra V’s. Finding the girl he stole her away to take her to his station in safety, hoping to just keep her there and out of the way, safe. She had other ideas however and asked him to teach her how to shoot. Reluctantly, he did teach her, because it’s good to know. He taught her how he sees the world when he shoots and relayed it to her. While headed back home the girl said she wanted to stay with Dr D, and though Cola knew she was lying, he allowed her to go, against all his better judgement. The girl ran right to the Ultra V’s to join their revolutionary battle and cause.

After the death of Doctor Death Defying at the hand of Val Velocity he started to look for the girl, finding her apart of a firefight. Draculoids had found the group of fighters, attacking them while they were weak. Getting over his reluctance to fight Cola jumped in, mask on, pistol blazing, taking out Dracs left and right. He took a hit to the back, putting him down and ultimately killing him. In his death he has no idea what happened to the girl or not. For all he knows (if you can know anything after death) he failed her.

I’ll be bringing him from after his death.

Revisions Edit:
1. What is a Killjoy? What does it mean to be a Killjoy?
A Killjoy is simply a group of people. Originally it could have been considered a gang of young people trying to be rebels or start a revolution against BLI. Originally it was a group of friends who banded together to rebel against the powers that took over the world. When BLI raided the Zones the Killjoys tried to raise up and fight against them, helping save people that BLI tried to Bleach (Bleaching is a form of wiping all emotions out of a person so that they can live better doing what they are told is good for them).

The original Killjoys found The Girl and tried protecting her from BLI. The girl is thought to be the saviour of the Zones, though they think she’s a normal girl. The fact OTHERS think she’s the saviour was enough to protect her, to help keep the image for others to believe in. When BLI kidnapped the Girl the Killjoys, as a group went to try and save her. All but Cherri (as explained in his app).

When the Killjoys died, their name was considered legend. After a while some other people who tried to rebel up took the name for their own. Soon anyone who was considered a rebel was called a Killjoy, a simple slang for a revolutionary.

2. If his ability to see auras isn't supernatural, then what is its source?
Nature. It’ simply a natural thing. All living things put off an aura or a force. All non living things are affected by that which is around them, leaving an aura around them as well. He can’t do anything about it other then see it. It’s just... viewing the world in a different way. Perhaps it could be considered supernatural, but it’s just like focusing to see chi and auras around things. Simply a training of the mind to see better. It’s not considered supernatural because it can be taught. He taught the Girl how to focus enough to do it, and so others can do it as well. He’s just very good at it.

3. Clarification: In the history section, you say he uses a pistol as a weapon, but later you say he'll be bringing a ray gun. Is there any special significance to the pink ray gun?
Pistol and Ray Gun are the same thing. A long thing point gun that shoots energy from the end. they come in a hand full of colors, but Cherri’s happens to be a pinkish color. There is no real difference among them. Some might be stronger the others, but that’s mostly fanon thinking. Canon-wise it’ not stated if there is a difference. One would assume larger pistols or ray guns would shoot stronger or larger blasts. Cherri’s i just a simple ray gun that will need charging if used too much or too long. Not that he’d use it a lot. So no, no special significance! It’s just the pistol he happens to have on him in that last battle.

[Personality]:
Cherri Cola is a loyal man with firm beliefs and morals. He’ not easy to temper and can be a bit laid back at times. Still, he’s guarded. The years of guilt for not backing his friends up has weighed heavy on him. Even so, he’s a good man who doesn’t believe in killing.

The not killing thing, it’s his strongest part of his character. He’s very firm on this, to the point that he believes it got his friends killed. If he had just gone with them, being their best shooter, maybe he could have been enough to turn the tide. Instead he failed that by staying put, not letting his standards drop, mostly out of fear though. Deep down, he just doesn’t want to kill anyone, so though he’s the best sharpshooter, he trained himself to hit areas that aren’t fatal.

When the Girl was swept up in the middle of a fire fight he got over that fear and moral code, doning his mask once again and diving into the fight. His pistol went in hot, taking out Draculoids left and right, but in the end he was taken down, shot in the back and dropped to the ground, dead. He died failing The Girl, failing his dead friends, and breaking his code.

His loyalty and morals are treasures to him, and he ended up giving one of them away to protect the other. His loyalty outweighs his moral code, and thought it took some time and the deaths of his friends to realize it, he sacrificed his determination to not kill in order to protect The Girl. Other then that he treasures his freedom, even if it comes with the cost of a shitty life in the desert. There is no way he wants his mind to be Bleached white and forced to live how they think he should live. He doesn't take well to mind control, slavery or being caged, wishing his freedom to have all the room it wants to spread it’s wings. He just doesn’t react well to it.

Speaking of reacting poorly, the deaths of his four close friends really hit him hard. After losing not only his friends but then the Girl they were protecting as well? He slipped into what could be called a depression, drinking more and more, taking local drugs and letting his mind zone out in the zones. He knows it’s a danger but it just helped get his mind off everything. It took him a while to get clean and with the help of Dr D he cleared up the drug habit, though in tough times it feels like a good idea. Drinking however he does off and on. It’s how he copes at times. Lately he’s been pretty sober and clean.

He tends to shut down, or at least he used to, when something horrific happens. Though mostly because they were so close to him. He even stopped contributing to the radio station for a while, not caring to help others. After he started to clean up again he started to help with warnings and broadcasts, but his heart wasn’t into it.

Some dreams and ambitions? Out the door. He really didn’t hold much to him at the time, other than overthrowing BLI and bringing the world back to original order. The dream was a bit too big to do on his own though, and with his survivor's guilt over his friends loss? He didn’t care to dream anymore. Though he does hold a little hope, it’s still very little. His only desire now is to find The Girl (which he did) and make the guys proud (which died and let them all down, so that desire is bust).

Some likes of his is DJing, talking to people and hearing tales and stories. He enjoys a good paradise punch or a cherry coke, though the later is in low supply. He likes classic rock, poems, motorbikes and fast cars, green and pink and baby blue. He likes target practice but not shooting or killing others. He dislikes crowds, groups of people and being trapped in places that have no exit vector. He dislikes everything to do with Better Living Industries and what they stand for.

Cola rarely smiles but when he does it lights up his face and tends to be pretty charming, no matter how small the smile. He’s got a bit of rough charm to him. He likes jokes and kidding around, and thought others might be friendly and comical he stands out by smiling or chuckling to what others are howling at. He used to be just like them when he was younger but events and deaths have mellowed him out a hell of a lot. He doesn’t lose his temper often and isn't easy to rile up, which can be a bit unnerving to watch. While others are chaotic and panicking he’s calm and collected. If he does lose his temper? It’s no doubt over someones death, especially that of the four.

[Abilities / Strengths & Weaknesses]:
He’s a normal human so there is nothing supernatural about him, though he does have a fantastic talent of having perfect air while shooting. this is because he sees the aura waves and frequencies around all living and nonliving things and beings. Everything puts these waves off an if he focuses on the waves around his target he can hit what ever he wants with ease. It’ made him one of the best marksmen in all of the Zones.

He’s a good speaker and enjoys DJing, news, information and talking. he has a talent with people, when not face to face. When he’s beside the person he’s a bit less eloquent and a bit more silent. He likes the safety of hiding behind his microphone.

His major weakness (and it really IS a weakness when you live in the Zones) is his unwillingness to kill. Doesn’t matter how big the cause is, he just doesn’t want to kill. He will, if he has to, but generally it will send him back to his low points and he doesn’t like that.

[Limited Powers]:
No Powers. Standard Human.

[Other Important Facts]:
He comes to this world after dying. After hitting the firefight that went all Costa Rica and got dusted, shot in the back and dropped to the ground, a failure. He’ll have his mask with him, and his pink ray gun with him. Other things on him will be his dog tags, a reminder of days gone by (not military but Killjoy tags).

He’ll be looking to get a sail boat of his own and wail the seas a drift for the most part, looking for places of interest or running into other crews. He’s willing to take on a person or two but he’ not interested in being apart of a huge crew (though there is a chance he can get sucked into a crew, he’s really rather fond of being his own captain).

Considering the name of his ship to be The Dead Pegasus and calling himself Killjoy Pirates. Jolly Roger would be hand pained to look like this

[opening his journal, he finds it no different talking to a book then a microphone. He lazes about on the ship he’s picked up, floating in the little boat on calm waters. Resting the book on his chest he starts to speak as he gazes into the sky. His voice is smooth, like it belongs on a radio.]

Well isn’t this just Shiny.

Good evening to you Davy Jones's Pirates. I hear that’s what the locals call us.

DJ C2 here, just making up a new name for myself. Seems to be what a lot of us are doing, isn’t it? Making a name in a new world.

Here’s just like There. A wasteland of cluttered misfortune of lost beings and chaotic minds. Only this isn't land, but endless deep pools of blue lighting our way. Squint into the light and block out the problems. Embrace the new freedom to roam. I know I am. What else is there to do then just that.

[there is a pause, and a soft sigh as he relaxes a bit more.]

This might not be the afterlife I expected, but it’s a life after that I can handle. So someone speak up. What are your stories. Why are you here. Where are you from?

It’s only fair that I give you mine though, isn’t it. Not much to tell however. Got myself busted. Dusted out in the Zones. Never go into a firefight with out your mask on, kids. The Phoenix Witch can't find you as easy if you don't. Also makes it easier to tell the bodies apart in the big fights.

This is about the point where I say good night and leave you with sweet words of encouragement and a song. I haven’t much of either right now. Perhaps a song next time I manage it. Until then... Stay Shiny.

[He’ll stay there, waiting to see if anyone spoke back or said anything in return. He finds this rather interesting. these books.]
